PURPOSE

The purpose of this quality control procedure is to have a sequential procedure for the quality of installation of an intelligent lighting control system.

RESPONSIBILITY

  1. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall direction of the project and ensures that quality and safety requirements are followed.
  2. The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for the implementation of the quality control procedure, to ensure that the team of engineers and foremen are aware of this quality control procedure and to ensure that all resources are available to carry out the work as planned
  3. The Project Engineer is overall responsible for the implementation of the quality control procedure, to ensure that the team of engineers and foremen are aware of this quality control procedure and, to ensure that all resources (labour, material, and equipment) are available to carry out the work as planned.
  4. The Site Engineer is responsible for carrying out the work as per the approved quality control procedure. He is also responsible for ensuring adequate equipment for mobilization works is in place before the start of work.
  5. The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring work has been done as per the specifications and drawings, inspections are done as per Quality Control Procedure and the Inspection and Test Plan, and all work is offered to the COMPANY.
  6. The Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all safety precautions are in place and that all personnel on-site are using the required Personal Protective Equipment (helmet. gloves, safety shoes, coveralls, eye protection etc.). The Safety Engineer must also ensure that all work-related required and mandatory permissions are available for the work.

PROCEDURE

  1. QA-QC engineer shall ensure that ordered materials are made the same as per the approved material submittal of the Intelligent lighting control system.
  2. QA-QC engineer shall ensure that delivery, loading, unloading and storage for the Intelligent lighting control system shall be as per manufacturer recommendations.
  3. QA-QC engineer shall ensure that Intelligent lighting control system equipment is free from manufacturing defects before installation.
  4. Testing & commissioning shall be done under the supervision of a 3rd party specialist ().
  5. MVR shall be raised for the company approval for the Intelligent lighting control system equipment as per the approved material submittal.
  6. ITR shall be raised after completion of the TESTING & COMMISSIONING OF Intelligent lighting control system equipment as per the approved method statement for company engineer approval.
